‘Amoke Oge,’ a local food vendor in Lagos, Nigeria, owned by Hajia Amoke Odukoya has generated ₦2.3 billion in revenue from 500,000 fulfilled orders on Chowdeck, the fast-growing digital food delivery platform.
This feat makes Amoge Oge the first woman-led business to cross the half-a-million delivery mark on the platform.
The milestone, calculated from an average value of ₦4,600 per order underscores the vendor’s popularity.
Hajia Odukoya was among the early adopters of the delivery startup, signing on roughly two to three years ago during Chowdeck’s initial rollout phase.
She also has four walk-in outlets of the restaurant in Lagos – Onipanu, Surulere, Obalende and Bawala.
Her consistency, coupled with the platform’s logistical backbone, has transformed a modest local kitchen into a multi-billion-naira operation.
In a celebratory post on X, Chowdeck shared a behind-the-scenes video featuring CEO Femi Aluko visiting Odukoya to commend her.
“Amoke Oge just became the first woman-led business to hit 500,000 deliveries on Chowdeck — with an average order value of ₦4,600,” the post read. “We’ll let you do the math.”
Just days earlier, Chowdeck spotlighted another vendor Korede Spaghetti, a food business located within the University of Lagos (UNILAG), who surpassed ₦1 billion in processed sales through the platform.
Korede, the brand’s founder, attributed much of the success to the platform’s operational efficiency.
“Chowdeck solved 80% of our logistics problems,” he said, noting how the solution helped the brand grow beyond the university environment and into the wider Lagos market.
Chowdeck’s recent vendor milestones signal more than just individual wins. They reflect the maturing digital infrastructure supporting Nigeria’s food economy, where logistics, discovery, and consistent customer experience are becoming non-negotiables.
